Seven - 7 - Seven: A true resetting of Windows!
Hello,
"Listening" is probably the verb that comes to mind when I see the work done by Microsoft to "Windows 7" and the progress made since critics often justified with respect to the safety of "Windows" and slow "Windows Vista".
Windows Vista had me committed to security concerns and rights of users on a workstation but to the detriment, in equal equipment, performance decreases harmful.
After a preliminary set of tests, and archiving critical, I decided to take the risk or some would say, to test Windows 7 in a real production environment [Dell Latitude E6500 with 2 GB of RAM and 80 GB hard drive at 7200 rpm], and I'm pretty impressed
- guiding the user through the migration is pleasant and insightful and effective recommendations. I hope it will be the same for users of Windows XP
- after migration, the "cleaning" at the old OS, is impressive: almost 10 GB of data gained ...
- load time the OS is gaining almost 50% of the real environment Vista at Seven;
- the loading time for heavy applications divided by 2 or almost 3 Pro 9.1 for Adobe;
- Internet Explorer 8 has a breathtaking performance compared to IE7 or IE8 under Vista: almost immediacy!. The only regret is that except to restate the non-standard security certificate. I guess it's for security reasons;
- the new interface is very intuitive in September thanks to a set of windows that saves precious seconds when it was almost like me at least a dozen windows of all active time;
- Applications except Skype 3.8, has migrated without "special alert"
- the user of Office Groove 2007 will need a scare by not having their accelerator icon alerts and instant messages safe. In fact, right-click the taskbar can find it once and for all. The other icons remain hidden useless for not cluttering the toolbar accelerators;
- always for Groove users need to have security encryption still active, it is noted that the new Service Pack 2 (SP2 Groove), associated at Seven, is the memory usage divide by two! ;
- Applets and gadgets installed with the most useful newspaper "Les Echos" run faster. The same application wins in 50 MB memory!;
- the fluidity of a film in DVD format at the rendezvous. We regret only that the locale is still limited to "some changes". For travelers like me this is not acceptable ... It will unfortunately be used by third-party programs ... But in fact, with the new French law during the voting, by writing this I'm going to see me banned from the internet?
short, I am really impressed by the ability to listen and re various matters that have helped translate what the market was expecting! I predicts a bright future for Windows 7!
Now, to me now to go to discover the new Seven. We have noted that innovation lies equally in the improvement of the foregoing that the addition of new features!
